Area Agency on Aging Recognizes Volunteer Ombudsman


Six volunteers and one employee graduated from the Assistant Ombudsman training program.

The Area Agency on Aging has seven new Assistant Ombudsmen.  Six volunteers and one employee have completed 24 hours of classroom training and 24-36 hours of one-on-one mentoring with the Long Term Care Ombudsman.  The Assistant Ombudsmen are each assigned to one or two long term care facilities to make regular, unannounced visits, and to advocate for the residents of the facilities.
